He wrote that statistically life probably exists out there but the distances are too great for visits. He added he saw no evidence during his presidency that extraterrestrials have made contact with us. Really he emphasized.
That is the official line the public got. The deeper reality is far different. A layer of control exists above the presidency – something which Obama referenced in a joking way despite the fact that he wasn’t joking. Making things seem silly or nutty is a psychological tactic that the UN agreed upon in 1961 when it became apparent that communication with these unknown beings was essentially impossible.
