ELIZABETH WARREN: THE PSYCHOLOGICAL ANATOMY OF A SHAMELESS ACADEMIC FRAUD

Daiman Teer for The Simpleton Star

Elizabeth Warren is still standing. She’s still lecturing us from the Senate floor with that shaky, holier-than-thou tremor in her voice as if she’s the moral compass of the nation. It’s enough to make any sane person sick. Keep in mind that I have to make some of this humorous because if I didn’t, my head would explode, that’s how mush I detest this she wolf.

Most people can’t wrap their heads around how a woman whose entire career is built on a massive, documented lie can show her face in public, let alone pretend to be a “statesman.” If you or I lied about our race to get a job at a university or a scholarship, we’d be fired, stripped of our degrees, and chased out of town. We’d be pariahs. But not Liz.

In this brief article, I will use psychological key terms, marked by bold type, which are familiar to me, but may not be familiar to the average reader. For that reason, I have listed a glossary of these words and their definitions. By knowing the basic meanings of these terms, you will be better equipped to understand why people like Elizabeth Warren even exist in our political ecosystem…and in our world in general.

Psychological Key Terms

  • Machiavellianism: This describes a personality focused on self-interest and the strategic manipulation of others to gain power or status. It treats relationships and even one’s own identity as tactical tools rather than matters of principle.
  • Cognitive Reframing: This is a mental process where a person changes the way they look at a situation to alter its meaning. In this context, it allows someone to view a “lie” as a “family truth” to avoid the psychological pain of admitting fault.
  • Compartmentalization: This is a defense mechanism where a person separates conflicting ideas or behaviors into different mental “compartments.” It allows someone to maintain a prestigious public persona while completely ignoring their past dishonest actions.
  • Ingroup Bias: This refers to the tendency for people to favor and protect members of their own “tribe” or political group. It causes supporters to overlook a leader’s flaws because they believe that person is necessary for their group’s success.
  • Attentional Control: This is the ability to focus on specific goals while ignoring distracting information, such as public criticism or scandal. By refusing to acknowledge shame, a politician can force the public to focus on their current work instead of their past “crimes.”

The psychology behind Elizabeth Warren’s behavior is actually pretty dark. To understand Warren, you have to understand Machiavellianism. That’s a trait where a person views other people and even their own identity as nothing more than tools to get power. When she checked that box claiming she was Cherokee, she wasn’t “finding herself.” She was gaming the system. She saw a path to the Ivy League and she took it because, in her mind, the end justifies the means.

She doesn’t feel shame because she’s a master of Cognitive Reframing. In her head, she isn’t a liar. She’s convinced herself that her “family lore” is just as good as a DNA test. Psychologists call this a defense mechanism. If she actually admitted she’s a fraud, her entire sense of self would collapse. To prevent that, her brain simply blocks out the guilt. She’s reached a level of Compartmentalization where she can look at her reflection and see a hero instead of a scam artist.

Then there’s the Ingroup Bias that protects her. Her supporters don’t care that she’s a fake because she’s their fake. They’ve decided that her “progressive” policies are more important than the fact that she stole a seat from a real minority. It’s a sick trade-off where the “utility” of her power outweighs the rot of her character.

She stays front and center because she knows if she keeps moving, she can outrun the truth. It’s a strategy of Attentional Control. If she refuses to be ashamed, she gambles that the public will eventually get tired of being outraged. She’s betting on our “outrage fatigue” to make her lies the new normal. She isn’t a statesman. She’s a systemic opportunist who exploited a loophole and now wants to preach to the people she cheated. It’s not just a lie. It’s a psychological sickness.

“A lying tongue hateth those that are afflicted by it; and a flattering mouth worketh ruin.” — Proverbs 26:28

Why this verse?

This verse perfectly captures the damage caused by Warren’s actions. By claiming an identity that wasn’t hers, she showed a profound lack of respect for the very people – Native Americans – who have actually been “afflicted” and marginalized. A “lying tongue” doesn’t just mislead; it actively hurts the community it’s mimicking. Her “flattering mouth” – all that talk about “fairness” and “equity” – is just a mask for the ruin she caused by undermining the integrity of the system for her own gain.

A Prayer for Truth and Discernment

Lord, we ask for Your light to shine through the fog of political deception. We pray that the American people would be given the spirit of discernment to see past the polished personas and the fake credentials of those who lead us. Help us to value truth over tribalism and integrity over power. We ask that You expose the hearts of those who lie without shame and help us to demand better from our leaders. Let our nation be built on the rock of honesty so that we are no longer led astray by those who profit from falsehoods.

Amen.
