By: Daiman Teer for The Simpleton Star
There is a distinct, agonizing flavor of modern intellectual decay that can only be cultivated on daytime television. It is a place where nuance goes to die, logic is treated as a hate crime, and affluent millionaires sit around a crescent-shaped table to lecture the working class on the finer points of moral purity. At the center of this orbit sits Whoopi Goldberg, the dumbest of the dumb, a woman whose grasp on historical reality does not exist, but whose latest linguistic car crash regarding the New York Knicks has officially driven off the cliff of basic human comprehension.
The setup was simple enough: the New York Knicks won the NBA championship and, in keeping with decades of American tradition, except where Donald Trump is concerned, they accepted an invitation to celebrate at the White House. But in the hyper-politicized echo chamber of The View, an invitation to the executive mansion is not a sporting milestone; it is a racial litmus test where, if the paper turns brown, you need another wipe at whitey. While her co-hosts hand-wrung over the optics of visiting the current administration, Whoopi decided to break from the pack and deliver a monologue so utterly detached from reality it left viewers checking their television sets for a carbon monoxide leak.
“I want them to go,” Goldberg declared, steering into a bizarre, racialized word salad worthy of every Democrat in office today.
“I want all those Black men to stand in our house and remind all of those people, as we tried to remind the vice president, that when you try to destroy one part of history, you’re destroying all of our histories.” She then added, “If only, so the kids know, that nobody, nobody can keep you down if you are rising up.”
Let us dissect the sheer, jaw-dropping patronization and stupidity leaking from this statement. Whoopi looks at a roster of elite, hyper-successful, multi-millionaire professional athletes who have reached the absolute pinnacle of their profession and, rather than seeing world-class champions, she reduces them entirely to political props based on the color of their skin. In her mind, these grown men are not going to Washington to accept a well-earned trophy; they are being sent as a symbolic delegation of the oppressed to “stand tall” and stick it to the man in “our house.” Whoopi is a political moron and a racist. That is my opinion and I will never change it.

It is a deeply tribal, fundamentally backward way of looking at human beings. To view a standard sports celebration through the lens of historical destruction and systemic suppression is a level of psychological projection that requires a profound lack of self-awareness. These athletes do not need Whoopi Goldberg to assign them a victimhood narrative for a trip to the nation’s capital. The only thing truly being “kept down” here is the collective IQ of anyone forced to listen to her try to string a coherent sociological theory together on live television.

A BIBLE VERSE
“The mouth of a fool is his ruin, and his lips are a snare to his soul.” — Proverbs 18:7
Why I Chose That Verse
This verse is a timeless reminder of the danger that comes when speech outpaces intellect. When individuals are given a massive public platform but lack the wisdom or discipline to use it carefully, their own words become a trap. Instead of offering insight or unity, they speak from a place of reaction and division, ultimately exposing their own foolishness to the world.
A Prayer
Lord, grant us the wisdom to see one another not as political symbols or racial categories, but as individuals made in Your image. Quiet the voices of division, arrogance, and manufactured grievance that seek to pull us apart, and protect our culture from the folly of those who use their platforms to spread confusion. Teach us to speak with clarity, truth, and genuine respect, and keep our minds anchored in common sense. Amen.
