If your children or grandchildren spend hours glued to their screens, quietly scrolling through a platform called Reddit, it is time to stop assuming they are just looking at harmless internet memes. It is time to intervene, ask hard questions, and get a clear look at what is occupying their minds. You might think you are raising a well-adjusted, independent thinker, but the reality is that many young people today are being quietly re-programmed by a digital echo chamber that breeds entitlement, hostility, and a complete detachment from reality.
Reddit has become the premier modern assembly ground for radical, hyper-ideological movements. It is the virtual town square where the modern, destructive “Antifa” mindset is nurtured and unleashed. In these unmonitored digital spaces, thousands of angry, anonymous users gather to trade resentment, mock traditional values, and validate each other’s worst impulses. It is an environment that doesn’t just tolerate ideological extremism—it actively manufactures it.

REDDIT MUST BE BANNED
The danger of this platform lies in how effectively it isolates young people from the real world. In the normal course of life, if a young person makes a ridiculous, disrespectful, or ungrounded statement, the real world corrects them. A parent, an employer, or a trusted mentor steps in with the wisdom of experience. But on Reddit, the opposite happens. The platform operates on a system of “upvotes” and “downvotes”—a digital popularity contest controlled by a mob of angry, unaccomplished peers.
When a young person enters these forums, they are instantly subjected to a twisted form of peer pressure. If they express appreciation for classic American values—things like family, individual accountability, personal dignity, or a robust work ethic—they are instantly swarmed, insulted, and canceled. Conversely, if they express hatred for their elders, contempt for history, or a desire to dismantle the structures that made this country prosperous, they are showered with praise.
We are seeing the real-world results of this daily. We now have a generation of young people who are virtually incapable of referencing anything from the past, yet they possess an unearned, absolute certainty that they know better than everyone who came before them. They have been taught to view basic human virtues as social crimes. If you suggest that hard work is the key to a meaningful life, they are trained to twist your logic, labeling a strong work ethic as a tool of oppression rather than a mark of character. This isn’t just a difference of opinion; it is a total inversion of common sense.

As parents and grandparents, you cannot afford to be passive observers anymore. The old-world assumption that “kids will just be kids” does not apply when the digital world is actively working to sever their connection to their families and their heritage. It is your responsibility to question them. Break through the silence. Ask them what they are reading, what they believe, and how they view the future.
Do not be afraid to look in on their accounts if you have the opportunity. You need to know if the child you love is being transformed into a bitter, resentful stranger right under your own roof. Many of these young people are deeply unhappy, trapped in a cycle of recreational outrage and doom-scrolling that leaves them psychologically fragile. They are craving direction, even if they mask it with arrogance.
The values that built our society—pride in one’s craft, deep thought, and familial loyalty—are dying out because the digital spaces our children inhabit are actively killing them. Do not let your household become another casualty of the online mob. Check on your kids, challenge their assumptions, and pull them back into the real world before the echo chamber claims them entirely.

BIBLE VERSE
“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” — Proverbs 22:6
A Prayer for Our Children
Heavenly Father, we ask for Your divine protection over the minds and hearts of our youth, who are constantly targeted by the confusion and hostility of a shifting world. Grant parents and grandparents the wisdom, courage, and vigilance needed to guide their families with strength and clarity. Break the hold of modern deceptions, heal the resentment that grows in darkness, and restore a deep respect for truth, dignity, and the enduring bonds of family. Amen.
