Eric Swalwell’s descent into the flames of self-immolation – The liar – the cheat – the scum – it’s too good to be true.
There is something profoundly satisfying about watching a man who built his entire career on a foundation of deceit finally get buried under the rubble of his own making. Eric Swalwell, the man who spent years posturing as the moral arbiter of American politics while relentlessly smearing President Trump with fabricated Russian collusion fantasies, has finally met the ignominious end he so richly deserves. It wasn’t just a political defeat; it was a total, unmitigated collapse of character that left him shivering in the cold, abandoned by the very party that once weaponized his dishonesty.

For years, Swalwell was the go-to mouthpiece for every baseless conspiracy theory intended to undermine the will of the American people. He sat on the House Intelligence Committee, leaking cherry-picked nonsense to any cable news outlet that would give him a camera and a microphone. He weaponized his position to launch a relentless, coordinated assault on a sitting president, all while harboring his own sordid secrets. The irony is so thick it is almost suffocating. While he was screaming about foreign influence and democratic integrity, he was allegedly engaging in conduct so reprehensible that even his fellow Democrats couldn’t stomach the association anymore.

His attempt to leap into the California governor’s mansion was the ultimate act of hubris. He thought his name recognition—earned through years of lying—would be enough to propel him to higher office. Instead, it became his undoing. The explosive allegations of sexual assault and predatory misconduct that emerged didn’t just derail his campaign; they exposed the hollow, rotting core of his entire public persona. Watching his supporters flee like rats from a sinking ship was a rare moment of clarity in a political landscape often devoid of consequences. When figures like Adam Schiff and Alex Padilla are calling for your head, you know the game is up.
The resignation from Congress is the only honorable thing Swalwell has done in a decade, though it wasn’t done out of a sense of duty. It was the desperate move of a man cornered by his own filth. He can no longer hide behind a committee assignment or the protection of a House majority. He is a disgraced ex-politician facing an ethics investigation and potential legal reckoning for actions that are, quite frankly, sickening. The poetic justice here is undeniable. The man who tried to destroy Trump with lies has been utterly destroyed by the truth of his own behavior.
Swalwell’s downfall is a necessary cleansing of the political system. He represented the worst of the modern political class: a man who believed that as long as he shouted the right slogans and targeted the right enemies, his own personal depravity wouldn’t matter. He was wrong. The “woke” shield he tried to carry for so long didn’t protect him when the reality of his alleged victims came to light. He is now a cautionary tale of what happens when a career built on vanity and falsehoods hits the jagged rocks of reality. There is no mercy for a man who showed none to his country or to the women he allegedly harmed. Good riddance to a fraud, a liar, and a disgraced relic of a failed era.

Bible Verse
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” — Galatians 6:7
The Reason
This verse is the ultimate spiritual law of consequence. It serves as a reminder that while a person may lie to the public and hide their true nature for a season, justice eventually finds its way to the surface. It underscores the reality that Eric Swalwell’s career, built on a harvest of deception and alleged misconduct, has finally yielded the bitter fruit of his own actions.
A Prayer
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the victory of truth and for the restoration of leadership that respects the will of the people and the sanctity of our nation. We lift up President Trump as he leads this country, asking that you continue to grant him strength, protection, and the wisdom to clear away the corruption that has sought to hinder our progress. We thank you for the exposure of those who have used their power for deceit and harm, and we pray that our nation continues to move toward a future of accountability, prosperity, and divine order. Amen.
