By Daiman Teer for The Simpleton Star
There is no creature more pathetic than the moralizing politician caught in the gears of his own corruption. Eric Swalwell, a cinder blockhead man who has spent the better part of a decade pointing a trembling, self-righteous finger at everyone else’s “threat to democracy,” has finally been unmasked as the very thing he claimed to despise. But it isn’t just the allegations of sexual misconduct and assault that turn the stomach; it is the slithering, cowardly way he seeks to survive the fallout. His brain is limited which is why he looks like South Park’s retarded Matt Damon.
The hypocrisy is breathtaking. For years, this man occupied the high ground of the American “sub-intelligentsia,” preening for the cameras and acting as the grand inquisitor of “decency.” Now, faced with credible accusations of predatory behavior, he retreats into the most transparently fraudulent defense in the political playbook: the “unspecified mistake” apology to his wife. Hey, hard to feel sorry for her because if she didn’t know…..lol.

What does it tell you when a man categorically denies “all” allegations of sexual assault but simultaneously begs his wife for forgiveness for “mistakes”? It tells you that he is a liar who has run out of room. He is attempting to build a firewall between his legal denials and his moral failures. By admitting to “mistakes,” he hopes to pacify the public with a performance of marital contrition, while his lawyers work behind the scenes to smear the victims as “politically motivated.”
This is the quintessential elitist move: treat the public like they are too stupid to see the contradiction. He wants us to believe that he is a “flawed human” who just happened to stray, rather than a man whose entire public persona is a mask for a deep, disturbing pathology. To apologize for “mistakes” while fighting “misconduct” is a linguistic shell game. It is the language of a man who thinks he is smarter than the voters, a man who believes that a sufficiently somber tone and a mention of his family will act as a “Get Out of Jail Free” card.
The “mental sickness” here is the narcissism of the protected class. Swalwell and his ilk truly believe they are indispensable. They think that because they say the right things about “equity” or “the rule of law,” they are exempt from the basic standards of human conduct. They view women not as people, but as props for their power—whether as staffers to be exploited or as wives to be used as human shields during a press conference.
The walls are finally closing in because even his own party can no longer ignore the stench. When you see the D.C. machine beginning to distance itself, it isn’t because they’ve suddenly found a conscience; it’s because Swalwell has become a liability to the brand. He is a walking indictment of the “enlightened” elite—a man who preached progress while practicing the most ancient and ugly forms of exploitation.

He can “vow to fight” all he wants, but he is fighting a ghost. He is fighting the reality of who he is. No amount of “unspecified apologies” can cover the tracks of a predator. The “mistake” wasn’t getting caught; the mistake was Eric Swalwell believing he could look the American people in the eye and pretend to be their moral superior. The mask is off, and what’s underneath is exactly what we suspected all along: pure, unadulterated scum.

The Scripture
“For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open.” — Luke 8:17
Why I Chose This Verse
I chose this verse because it speaks to the inevitable collapse of the “public mask.” Men like this believe they can live double lives—acting as the moral arbiters of the nation by day while indulging in darkness by night. They think their status, their titles, and their friends in the media can keep the truth buried forever.
But this scripture reminds us that the truth has its own gravity. No matter how many “unspecified apologies” are issued or how many lawyers are hired to smear the victims, the light eventually finds the cracks in the facade. The very secrets they use to protect their power are the ones that ultimately bring them to ruin.
The Prayer
Lord, we ask for the exposure of all who hide behind the cloak of public service while practicing private depravity. We pray that You would tear down the high places where the arrogant sit in judgment of others while they themselves are enslaved to their own lusts and lies.
Grant courage to those who have been silenced by power, and let their voices be the sound of the walls coming down. Rid our nation of the hypocrites who preach decency but practice destruction. May the masks be stripped away from every “leader” who views the people as pawns and the laws as suggestions. Let truth be the standard, and let the proud be brought low by their own deceits.
Amen.
