The smoke rising from the Vatican these days isn’t white, and it isn’t signaling the election of a leader. It is the black, acrid smoke of a controlled demolition. On April 9, 2026, the walls of the Church didn’t just crack; they were handed over to the demolition crew. The private meeting between Pope Leo XIV and David Axelrod—the master architect of the secular Left’s most aggressive campaigns—is more than a breach of protocol. It is a direct, calculated assassination of the moral authority of the Catholic Church.
Let’s be blunt because the time for “dialogue” ended the moment Axelrod stepped onto Holy See soil. There is absolutely no reason, theological or otherwise, for a high-level Jewish political strategist and secular lobbyist to be granted a private audience to dictate policy to the Vicar of Christ. This isn’t about interfaith outreach. This is about a political operative from the Chicago machine hand-delivering a script to a Pope who seems more than happy to read his lines.
The Puppet and the Puppeteer
David Axelrod doesn’t deal in the eternal; he deals in the immediate. He doesn’t care about the salvation of souls – especially Christian ones; he cares about the winning of midterms. For the Pope to welcome a man whose entire career is built on the dismantling of traditional values and the promotion of a “woke” globalist agenda is a betrayal of every practicing Catholic who still believes the Church stands for something higher than a DNC press release.

He didn’t speak of the Sacraments or the sanctity of life. Instead, he launched a direct, partisan attack on Republicans and the current administration, specifically targeting foreign policy and border security. It was a performance so choreographed it would have been laughed out of a community theater if the stakes weren’t so high.
A Compromised Chair
We are witnessing a Papacy that has been completely compromised. Leo XIV isn’t acting as a spiritual shepherd; he’s acting as a globalist spokesperson. He has traded the Gospel for the Narrative. By allowing a secular lobbyist like Axelrod to “brief” him, the Pope has effectively admitted that the Vatican is now a satellite office for the progressive elite.
The optics are beyond offensive. It is a total collapse of the barriers that are supposed to protect the Church from the rot of modern, secular culture. When a Pope starts sounding like a CNN commentator, he hasn’t just “messed up” the message—he has abandoned the mission. He has allowed himself to be manipulated by a culture that views the Church as nothing more than a useful tool to be discarded once the election is over.
The Marxist in the White Cassock
This isn’t Catholicism; it’s a soft-core version of Marxism dressed up in white silk. Leo XIV has turned his back on the very values he is sworn to protect. By siding with the people who advocate for the erasure of national sovereignty and the dismantling of the traditional family, he has declared war on his own flock. He is a man who has been “medicalized” by woke culture, convinced that his role is to be a social justice warrior rather than a defender of the faith.
The presence of Axelrod at the Vatican is the final proof of this surrender. There is no reason for a secular strategist to be dictating papal policy. It is a disgusting marriage of convenience: a strategist who needs a moral heavy-hitter and a Pope who is so “demented” by political ambition that he’s willing to sell out the Church for a seat at the table of the global elite.
The Verdict of the Faithful
The Church is being led by a man who has traded the eternal for the temporary. To see him nodding along with a man like Axelrod is to see the final surrender of the Vatican’s dignity. If Leo XIV is more interested in the approval of the secular Left than the spiritual welfare of the billion Catholics he supposedly leads, then he has no business sitting in that chair.
He has been bought and paid for by a movement that hates everything the Church stands for. He isn’t a leader; he’s a pawn. He hasn’t just “failed” to lead; he has actively worked to subvert the faith from within. The people of the Catholic Church need to recall this Pope asap – The next thing you know, he will be taking confession from Netanyahu.
The American public doesn’t need a Pope who takes orders from Chicago. They need a Church that stands as a fortress against the very rot Axelrod represents. Until then, we are left with a compromised, demented Papacy that has left the empty bottles of its moral bankruptcy on the front porch for the whole world to see. It is time to call it what it is: a total, disgusting betrayal. The Pope shouldn’t be taking meetings with lobbyists; he should be on his knees asking for forgiveness for what he’s done to the Chair of St. Peter.

The Reason
This verse is a direct appeal for the conclusion of a failed tenure. It is used when a leader’s actions have become so detrimental to the people they serve that the only solution is their departure. It doesn’t ask for a change of heart or a “re-education”—it asks for the seat to be emptied so that a worthy successor can take the reins. For a Papacy that has invited the “money changers” back into the temple, this is the scriptural mandate for a clean slate.
The Prayer for the Removal of a Communist Mensch
Almighty God,
We come before You with a righteous anger for the state of Your Church. We see the Chair of St. Peter occupied by one who has opened the gates to the wolves, allowing the sacred halls of the Vatican to be turned into a boardroom for secular lobbyists and political hitmen.
Lord, we lift up Pope Leo XIV. We see that he has been compromised by the hollow whispers of “woke” culture and the manipulation of those who hate Your truth. He has traded the staff of the Shepherd for the script of the strategist. Because he has chosen the approval of the world over the salvation of his flock, we ask now for his removal.
We pray that his time on the throne be brought to an immediate end. If he will not lead with the courage of the Apostles, then let him be stripped of the office he has betrayed. Do not let him continue to use the moral weight of the Church to bolster the agendas of those who seek to dismantle our values and our faith.
Break the influence of the “messengers” like David Axelrod who believe they can buy or brief the Holy Spirit. Clear the temple of those who have made it a house of political trade. We ask that You raise up a true defender of the Faith—one who fears no man and seeks only Your glory—to take his place.
